Fulton Hogan Case Study:
Fulton Hogan is a major Australasian civil contracting company, with interests in a broad range of products and services in the road, quarrying, civil construction, infrastructure maintenance and land development sectors.
On 25th – 26th of April 2008, Fulton Hogan was assigned by Yarra Trams to complete work on Toorak Rd, between Williams Rd and Grange Rd, Victoria. OnlineRail was selected to assist with this project as they had crews with specific knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and licences /tickets including staff who could operate machinery in tight situations, carpentry, light rail, lining and levelling, gauging skills / experience. Fulton Hogan also specifically requested Dave Blower (OnlineRail BDM) to be onsite given his extensive experience.
The works were completed over a period of 72 hours, which involved the removal of 3500 square metres of concrete and placing of 1100 cubic metres of high strength concrete over a day period. 15 new traffic signal detector loops were installed in this high exposure site in the middle of Toorak Village and the project was completed on time.
The experience level of the OnlineRail team meant that the project manager was able to have confidence that the track would be in, lined and levelled, tied down and gauged ready for the concreters to fill in between the track and to have the track and road open. The OnlineRail crews also fielded for Tram Jobs and are highly experienced and able to adapt to suit a wide variety of situations.
